Awkwafina
Awkwafina was initially a American musician and rapper making sly songs that addressed issues such as racial and sexual identity with a comedic twist. Prior to her move into Hollywood her career, she could perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was from the trumpet. Additionally, she was given classical and jazz training later delving into hip-hop as a teenager. At college, she was studying writing and women's studies. Then, she even had an hour studying Mandarin during her time in Beijing. It wasn't until she graduated that her focus shift to music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet eventually landing on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. This album also featured popular hits that went viral, such as body positive Queef or winking hometown tour the city of New York Bitche$. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, published in 2015. This was a different idea. After having a great career as a singer and songwriter, she chose to assume the role of an actor. Her film credits include films like Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed many notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
