Robyn Rihanna Fenty, also known as Rihanna is a Barbadian artist and songwriter. She has brought us songs like Pon de Replay SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. She's a hugely popular performer who has sold more than 41 million albums worldwide and more than 150 million songs. Barbados born, she began listening to reggae music as her age increased and began singing by herself, when she was a teenager. She was disturbed by the mess within her home and the constant disputes between her parents. She decided to immerse herself into music. While still in highschool, she formed a music group and was invited to audition with Evan Rodgers. The producer was impressed by the ability of this girl. Rihanna was then moved into New York to start a career in singing full time. Rihanna released her debut album and became an overnight star. She was a favorite amongst young people due to her lively and foot-tapping songs. The result was Rihanna becoming a director. As a talented young woman Rihanna is regarded as a teenage idol. Rihanna is also active in helping charities and uses her celebrity status to benefit charities.
